Provides access to the geoscience literature. GeoRef contains references to geoscience maps, serial, and non-serial literature. The database includes references to all publications of the U.S. Geological Survey. Master's theses and doctoral dissertations from US and Canadian universities are also covered. Coverage for North American resources starts in 1669, whereas worldwide coverage starts in 1933.

LandScan Global Archives
Developed and published by Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the U.S. Government, LandScan comprises a worldwide population database compiled on a 30" X 30" latitude/longitude grid. This dataset covers the entire globe, excluding Antarctica, and is updated annually. Access to the raw data is also available via the use of ArcGIS software.
